There are many different beliefs and understandings about crystals, and many different approaches and perspectives relating to crystals; and there are indeed many different properties of and uses for crystals.

I will here present what I consider the most basic properties and one of the most important uses, especially for, but not limited to, the beginner.

 All things, all beings - All That Is - vibrate at different frequencies.  Everything and everyone is Light, vibrating in an infinite variety of vibrational frequency, from energies of the highest intelligence, the brightest Light, the most perfect Love, to what you would consider the lowest forms of mineral existence, and everything and everyone in between.  All thoughts, all things, all that is - all are vibrations, vibrating at one frequency or another.

 There are many levels of existence (many, many more than humankind on earth yet knows of), and they are distinguished by their varying ranges of vibrational frequency.  The higher the level, the higher the frequency of light that vibrates there.  And within each level there is a range of frequencies.  Manwomankind, for instance, vibrates at a higher frequency than most animals, plants and what you mistakenly refer to as ‘inanimate’ life, and there is a tremendous RANGE of frequencies within the human category (where what is good or constructive is at the higher end of the range, and what is destructive or ‘evil’ is at the lower end).

 This is oversimplified, and therefore subject to many exceptions, depending on context and perspective, but should be sufficient to describe a basic concept, at least for now and for this limited purpose.

 You know that the higher frequency vibrations of a dog whistle are real even though you cannot hear them.  There are many more frequencies of light and sound (which is really a different kind of light) that your conscious, physical senses are NOT aware of than there are frequencies with which you ARE familiar.  In other words, the present state of your physicality and consciousness perceives only a fraction of the vibrational frequencies that do exist, and perceives only a fraction of those that are actually available to any who will allow their reception to be enhanced.

 Using the analogy of radio and TV, you are potentially capable of receiving, or tuning into, far more stations and signals than your current definitions of yourselves permit.  Over millennia, mankind’s sensitivity to the higher frequencies has been dulled to such an extent that most of you think those higher frequencies either don’t exist or are unavailable to any living in physical bodies in the earth plane.

 Those higher frequencies are still there, all around you, regardless of your ability to consciously access them.  Furthermore, your ability to access them depends a great deal on the degree to which you can be open to the POSSIBILITY of accessing more than you heretofore have believed you could.

 This has been a fairly long introduction, especially considering that I’ve hardly mentioned crystals yet.  Remember, though, I said I would speak to the most important uses of crystals; and for that, I need this introduction.

 If it seems far-fetched, I would suggest to you that you try to adopt an approach to this subject (and to all of life) which says something like, “Well, maybe some of this stuff is possible.” and take a ‘Wait and See’ attitude.  You might just find that you are capable of more than you think, and you might just find that all that exists is charged with more life than you are yet aware of.

 

And now, on to Crystals…..

 This discussion will deal primarily with clear quartz crystals with points at one or both ends, often referred to as ‘generator’ crystals, though everything I will describe is true to one extent or another for all crystals.  Some are more effective and useful for particular purposes, depending on their shape, their make-up, their clarity, and even their particular angles at the points.  But those are discussions better left for another time, and better left out of this basic introduction.

 Crystals are composed primarily of oxygen and silicon, the two most prevalent elements in the earth plane.  Man-made crystals, or silicon chips, are copies, and do contain some of the same properties as crystals.

 Crystals are semi-conductors, meaning that they can both HOLD A CHARGE, and EMIT A CHARGE.  This is the primary similarity between crystals and silicon chips.

 A ‘charge’ is a stressing of some sort.  You can charge, or stress, or activate a crystal by applying physical pressure to it, or by squeezing it, or by drumming on it as some tribes have done over time.  You can stress it with electricity, as the batteries in many of your watches electrify or charge or stress the quartz crystal therein.  When a crystal is stressed or charged or squeezed somehow, it responds by emitting electrons, by spitting or shooting or radiating off electrons (charges, vibrations of particular frequency.)

 As many of you know, thoughts are things.  Thoughts are real.  They are vibrations.  They are electrical impulses or ‘charges’ and can most certainly be used to stress or charge or activate crystals, with whatever vibrational frequency those particular thoughts ARE.

 When you direct or focus your particular thoughts into or at a given crystal, that charge, that impulse, truly enters and ‘stresses’ or makes an imprint in that crystal.  Meanwhile, the vibrations (or electrons, if you will) already present there, pop off or are emitted outward from the crystal.

 When you have filled or ‘packed’ a crystal with the energies or charges of your particular thoughts, those will be the vibrations that are emitted, sent out, or radiated when you continue to ‘stress’ the crystal further.  So, you can literally send out your thoughts, your impulses, your ‘programs’ of charges, through a crystal.

 You can send your thoughts out into the world without the aid of crystals, so why bother to use them?

 Crystals also have the property of AMPLIFYING.  They are, in effect, much like magnifying glasses in that regard.  Without going into all the details, the spiral flow of energies through a crystal does amplify the vibration.  A magnifying glass ‘bends’ the light you see through it in such a way as to amplify the image you see, or to enlarge the object you are viewing.  Please don’t take this analogy too far, for it will most certainly fall short.  You see, the magnifying glass does not actually enlarge the object viewed, but the crystal does indeed amplify the flow of energies.

The electrons themselves are not enlarged, but their flow is both increased and accelerated.  So crystals are amplifiers.

 Crystals are receptive to a wide range of vibrations.  Not just to your thoughts, and not just to the physical stressing of pounding or squeezing; and they can and do amplify a wide range of vibrations.

Because of their shape and because of the directional flow of the energies moving in and through them, crystals also have the property of FOCUSING, or gathering-and-intensifying those energies as they pass through.

 Also because of their shape and the directional flow through them, crystals have the property of DIRECTING those focused, amplified vibrations that are ‘pushed’ through them.

 Crystals have more properties than I have described, and there are many more aspects to the properties I have described; but this is enough for a basic understanding for purposes of this discussion.

 Now I will explain some of the simple ways you can most effectively utilize these properties for constructive purposes.

 Remember, I said that ALL things and ALL beings are light, vibrating in an infinite variety of frequencies.  You, too, are light.  You, too, are a form of electrical impulse, so to speak.  There is indeed a scientific and detailed explanation to all of this, and that will come at another time.  For now, think of your whole being as energy - some form of electrical energy.  This is true; and yet, if it is too difficult for you to live with this image, then try to think of yourself at least as a conduit for energy -- a vehicle for energy, an electric cable of some sort, a channel through which energy passes.  This should not be too difficult.

 The Life Force beats your heart.  You feel different vibrations or sensations when you make contact with different people.  The easiest to feel and recognize are the extremes:  you most easily sense the love or the anger of another when you touch, and often just by being in the same room with someone at any given time.

 Your thoughts are real, and are like electromagnetic vibrations.  It is even part of your current idiom.  For instance, when two people who desire to be near one another do get near one another, they sometimes speak of the ‘electricity’ between them, or of the ‘charge’ they get from one another, or from being close.

 So, for the moment at least, and with an attitude of openness to possibility, consider yourself as a circuit through which energy is constantly flowing.  And consider your hands as cables, or as termini of this circuit.  And I will tell you further that the middle finger of each hand is the primary cable in your hand.  When you join your middle fingers, you close a very powerful circuit.

 Believe it or not, this has much to do with the reason that hands are often joined in prayer.  So, when you join your hands, and most particularly the middle fingers, you close a circuit in which energy is flowing within and throughout your being.

 You are all familiar to some extent or another with the effect of placing an AMPLIFIER into a circuit.  Holding a crystal between your two hands - in that particular closed circuit - can tremendously amplify the flow of energies in and through that circuit, and can tremendously FOCUS that flow and DIRECT it.

 Energy flows in many directions, and flows in ‘both’ directions in the circuit that you close by joining your middle fingers.  But for these purposes at hand -- purposes of healing, of learning, of unlearning misconceptions, of opening yourself more and more to the flow of Life’s energies through your conscious and physical being -- think of these energies as flowing primarily from left hand to right hand.  Out the left, into the right.

 So when you hold a generator crystal with your two hands, hold the base of it with your left hand and the point of it with your right, making sure that the middle finger of each hand is contacting the crystal.  The most effective way to do this is to touch the end of your right middle finger on the point of the crystal.  Further, ideally, no part of your left hand should be touching your right hand, and vice versa.  Let the crystal be the only physical link between your hands.  If the crystal is large enough, you might wrap the fingers of your left hand around it (at least the middle finger), leaving the point free for your right middle finger to touch without contacting your left hand.

 If you are using a crystal with two points, one at each end, which is referred to as a ‘double-terminated’ crystal, then have the smaller or sharper-angled end point to the right hand.

 Again, there are many, many uses for crystals, and many different ways to hold them, which are very effective for those different uses; but I am dwelling on one of the most important uses -- that of cleansing, healing and opening ALL OF YOUR CIRCUITS.  This method that I am describing can truly open ALL parts and aspects of your being to this flow.

 Now I must diverge for a moment.  I speak of ‘God’ and ‘Goddess’ as the I AM I AM, as THE I AM, as ALL That Is, as Light, Love and Energy or Life Itself.  Some of you may have trouble with the term ‘God’.  If so, then think in terms of the Purest Love, the Brightest Light, the Force of Life, of True Goodness, or even as the Highest Level of Energy to which you can connect.  Truly you all ARE connected quite directly to I AM I AM, and part of the purpose of this whole exercise is to assist you in connecting in your consciousness what is already and has always been connected in reality.  If all of the above is still beyond your acceptable grasp, then think in terms of your very best Self, the very best you, or that ‘still, small voice within’.

 If you have read this far, then hopefully, at least one of the approaches mentioned above will be acceptable, usable and effective for you in this exercise.

 When you open your mind and your senses, you truly are opening a door or portal of some kind, and you don’t want just any energies to come pouring through -- believe me, you don’t.  It is quite obvious to all of you, I would think, that there are those in the earth plane who do not choose to be constructive or of service to life on earth.  The same is true, unfortunately, on several other levels of existence -- several other ranges of vibrational frequency.  There are levels above which there is no longer anything but Love, and those are the levels of vibration to which I implore you to open.  It is extremely important to surround your opening with the higher vibrations, to prevent those others from entering.  This is not a question of fear.  It is a question of choosing to be constructive and growth-oriented.

 I suggest that you only open your doors -- your mind and heart -- to constructive energies and vibrations.  So when you open, you declare in thought that you are opening only to the highest vibrations, to Goodness, to Light, to Love, to the Force of Life, to I AM I AM - to the One God-Goddess All That Is.

 A simple way of saying it could be, “I ask for God’s Protection and Guidance.  I ask for help in opening to the highest level that God wants me to reach at this time.  And I ask for God’s help in really ALLOWING those energies into my consciousness and physicality”.  (Insert one of the other terms for ‘God’ as described earlier, if such is your need.)

 I give emphasis to the word ‘ALLOWING’ for a reason.  In order for you to really feel or sense the flow, you must quiet your conscious mind, stop the internal dialogue, still the torrent of busy thoughts -- ‘make room’ so to speak -- for the flow into consciousness.  In a word, you must ALLOW it. Allow also means ‘permit’, you know, and this is your exercise of free will, to ‘allow’ the highest energies into your consciousness.

 So hold your crystal, open to I AM I AM, and allow.

 Again, all of this can be done without crystals, but they can be extremely effective tools in this process of opening to and allowing the flow, through your physical and conscious being, of the Highest Energies you are capable of receiving.  And your capacity will increase and continue to increase.

 Probably the most important fact and most effective use related to using crystals for your enlightenment -- God’s healing Light, Love and Energy -- can be amplified, focused and directed through your circuitry and through that crystal that you are holding.  Yes, you can choose what thoughts, what energies you wish to move through your crystal and through your circuitry.

 And you can also choose to open to I AM and to allow I AM to be the One to charge and activate your crystal and your circuitry.  And you can choose to open to all that I AM wills you to open to, and to allow all that I AM wills you to allow, in any given moment.  I guarantee you that if you open and allow in this way, you and your crystal will be flushed with far more and far greater energies than you could possibly imagine or choose to direct on your own.

 Let the highest vibrations be the Ones that charge and flow through your crystal and through your whole being, in addition to your own intentions, expressed when you begin each opening. 

Every time you open and allow is a distinct and separate event, and every time you do so, it is important that you declare, verbally or in thought, your intention to open only to the Highest Vibrations, only to that which will best serve your growth and your instrumentality in the world.

Do not be dismayed if you don’t feel or sense anything at first, or even the first several times that you make this choice and perform this act of opening and allowing with a crystal in your circuit.  Like a trickle of water through clogged, long-unused pipes, the flow gradually cleanses the pipes (your circuits), and the flow increases, and the pipes become more and more effective vehicles for that flow.  Then you and the crystal can also be a more powerful and more effective vehicle for sending and radiating healing energy to others, and to the whole world.

 Asking for god’s Protection and Guidance, I open and allow.
