Deeksha

About 5 years ago I was privileged to experience my first Deeksha while on a vacation in Austin, Texas. I went to the ceremony with no more reason than my own intuitive desire and had a very surprising and worthwhile adventure.

The Deeksha in Texas was offered by three enlightened disciples of Bhagavan and Amma. More than 60 people gathered in a very large and chairless chapel where they taught us that we would experience a neurobiological change in the brain that would turn down the volume of the ‘monkey mind’ and empower the portion of the brain which experiences joy and bliss. We were also assured that many of us would enter through the inner doorway which leads to conscious relationship with our Master Teacher. Bhagavan believes this to be an essential step to enlightenment.

For me, the hardest part of the experience was that we all had to sit in a circle on the floor, lotus style (or as close as we could get) with our eyes closed until every person had received their Deeksha. With 60 people each receiving individual attention, we sat there for more than 4 hours while amazing energies, sounds and empowerments circled the room.

The results were powerful and yet subtle and I came away with a peaceful feeling of success and growth.

Then in November of 2006 I learned that a friend of mine had been to India to study Deeksha with Bhagavan and Amma for three weeks and had returned with the authority to offer Deeksha as their emissary. Part of the original teaching in Texas had assured us that repeated Deeksha, although not necessary, was wonderful and would deepen the results. So, I arranged to receive Deeksha from my friend and have been enjoying that privilege almost weekly ever since.

Soon after I had begun enjoying the weekly Deekshas I found that I was intuitively guided to give Deeksha with every Divine Grace Healing and Reiki session I was performing. I quickly conferred with my friend to confirm the appropriateness of my offering Deeksha and she agreed that my intuition was correct and apt. I was further reassured that I wasn’t overstepping my authority when I read the marvelous book by Kiara Windrider and Grace Sears called, Deeksha, The Fire From Heaven which I recommend enthusiastically.

I perform ‘Distance Deeksha’ aimed at global enlightenment daily. I also offer personal ‘Distance Deeksha’ by appointment. When you make your appointment, I will ask you to sit in meditation for about 15 minutes at the scheduled time. During your appointment I will dedicate my efforts 100% to your Deeksha. As with most ceremonies of this kind, it is suggested that you take time to acclimate to the new resonance which is part of the experience and that you also drink extra good, clean water for the next few days.
