Some of the Ways to Recognize a Master...

Namaste’, dear friends! Would you like some ideas on how to discover the masters in your neighborhood? Did you even know that there were some? Chances are that they avoid identifying themselves as masters to you or anyone else, but with a little bit of information it will be easy to pick them out of the crowd…

Characteristics of a Realized Master

Love: The primary trait you will find in masters is love. They give love… they receive love… they love without attachment, agendas or conditions. As they look upon their families, they give love. As they interact with their friends, they give love. As they participate in community, they exchange love everywhere. And love given and received is the masters’ trademark in all their worldly experience. ‘As you give, so shall you receive’ is the universal truth which blesses them constantly… not because they desire to be rewarded for their work, but as a natural and unalterable byproduct of the giving which is their preference and passion.

Love is the beginning of All That Is for love is God/Goddess/All That Is. Every emotion begins with love, every dream begins with love, every action begins with love… Masters are experts at choosing where they aim that love and allowing the thought that joins it to its destination to be the bridge.

Compassion: Masters practice and feel compassion. And their compassion is so deep and pure that they see the true identity of all others. They witness the masks worn over the true self of others and love them still. Masters rejoice in the divine light shining within everyone even while supporting and respecting their choice to believe and experience otherwise.

Service:  Masters are passionate about service. Each new day pulls them forward, magnetized by any and all opportunities to serve. And masters include themselves as an appropriate recipient of the service for they know that healthy, happy, abundant and vibrant beings teach by example continuously. They do not force their beliefs or teachings upon others… they answer questions when asked, respect the choices and beliefs of all others and go about their day as guided by their soul’s path.

Value: Masters value all experience without attachment. The things of life give comfort, security, pleasure and more. And yet masters are capable of walking away from those things as guided by their own sacred heart and soul. Value is accorded to all relationships, beliefs… all 3D and 4D experience. As they value each and every moment of their lives, those moments… imbued with love and light… expand out through all that they experience with blessings and joy.

Time: Masters live in the moment while using the world’s depiction of time as a tool. Because they are so well focused in the here and now, they do not miss opportunities, signs or messages. The past is simply a reference library available for study and research while the future is a dream which magnetizes the dreamer to it. Masters know that they have all the time in the world to accomplish their dreams… all events are simultaneous… this moment is eternal… the goals of the physical 4D world are ephemeral and incidental… the goals of the soul are cosmic and substantial and the soul is eternal.

Soul: Masters are aware that their soul is the primary experiencer of life and the physical being and personality together create the vehicle the soul uses for that experience in this 4D reality. Masters know that soul has free will, personality does not. Masters/souls  know beyond any doubt that the universe loves and supports them (and everyone and everything) completely. Masters/souls are aware of the paradox of this 4D reality and joyfully use the illusion to learn and to grow.

Prayer: Masters live prayerfully. Conversation with the divine is constant… not always as an exchange of words, more often as an exchange of energies and feelings. There is no need for a master to use a ‘middle man’ for their prayer to be effective, although sharing prayer with others is a joyful process.

Meditation: Likewise meditation is a well-worn tool offering masters many hours of quiet guidance and communion. Meditation is not a chore to be fit in nor a repetitive and boring process devoid of newness and passion. Meditation is a way of life. Masters/souls meditate and the life of the physical being is the result. Those who learn awareness of this concept can become lucid meditators… like lucid dreamers they cocreate their own realities by joining in partnership with their souls using the method of perpetual meditation.

Thought: Masters understand that every thought they think is creating their reality. They know that the thoughts they think repetitively become their beliefs. They also comprehend that their thoughts represent prayer… constant prayer… This understanding inspires them to keep their thoughts aligned with that which they wish to experience: unconditional love, compassion, service…

Journey: Masters are aware that they are on a journey. Within that journey there may be many detours and destinations and yet the journey continues. Even God/Goddess/All That Is is on a journey characterized by constant and delicious growth. In journeying, masters enjoy adventure, freedom and new experiences, and in journeying the masters/souls hone their skills while moving ever closer to their ultimate goal of reunion.

Still Point: Masters are aware that there is a still point within their own sacred heart where all that they are aligns with and communes with God. As they first understand this space, they approach it reverently and lovingly, knowing that there is a guard at the door who will prevent the passage of the poorly prepared. There is no riddle to solve to gain entry… the resonant signature which expresses the unconditional love of the master seeking entrance is what opens this doorway.

True Power: Masters know that all true power comes from within… from the still point of the sacred heart where the soul and the physical unite. Power outside the true self is surrogate power. As long as surrogate power faithfully and honestly represents the masters and their true desire, its power is a positive partner in reality creation. As this surrogate power becomes self-serving and loses the integrity of what it is meant to represent, it becomes negative and weakening. Masters recognize the encroachment of the negative form of surrogate power and they take steps to reestablish the positive  alignment with the true self. Samples of surrogate power include: government, schools, churches, teachers, books, nutrition and more. Each one of these examples has the potential to be a wondrous partner with the true self of the masters and each one also has the potential to be the false idol…

Quiet: Masters tend to be quiet. They think before they talk and they wait until they have something pertinent and/or positive to express. However, they do know how to laugh and to play…

Forgiveness:  Masters practice forgiveness daily. They are fully aware of the power of forgiveness to free the receiver and the giver from the imprisonment of judgment and anger. They know that forgiveness does not absolve or assume  the receiver’s lessons or responsibilities… it simply unhooks the connection which holds the participants in stasis. Forgiveness balances the energies shared by two or more and it creates growth and positive impact for it clears one’s field of harmful energies so that harmlessness can flourish.

Detachment: Rather than using detachment as an excuse to avoid problems, masters work in a powerful and focused manner to face any obstacles and once that work is complete, then they detach. As a result you won’t hear the masters moaning about the past but you may hear some marvelous wisdom to help you complete old issues and detach as well.

Authority: Masters do not need others to affirm their mastery for God is the authority in their lives and God knows. Nor do they need to tell others… they know that everyone is a master, so what would be the point?

Characteristics of Unrealized Masters

Existence: Everyone who exists is a master… in your 4D reality so many masters are still unaware of this concept but more are awakening every day. All beings are aspects of God/Goddess/All That Is experiencing physical reality for the growth that is available. There is no nobility or superiority involved in being masters… there is only unity.

How to Recognize Masters

Look into the eyes of those around you and as you do perceive the wondrous beauty of their souls. Acknowledge the courage of the 4D personality standing before you who lives so seriously within the illusion of your reality. Everywhere you turn masters stand ready to be revealed by their own experience and their own soul’s guidance. Indeed, look into the eyes of those around you… your friends, your family, your co-workers, your enemies, your own mirrored image… they are masters one and all in various stages of remembrance.

Must you exhibit all the traits mentioned in this channeling in order to claim mastery? No… For masters need exhibit and claim only unconditional love… for self… for others… for All That Is… The traits above are side-effects, personality traits and characteristics. They are the complication we create before we allow the simplicity and the detail loved so dearly by the mind. Rather than adhere to this abbreviated list, why not add to it with ideas and observations of your own? And once you have compiled a list that speaks to you… put it away and be love.

One of the lovely side effects of this focused attention is that as you observe and ponder the indications of mastery in yourself and those around you,  you will find that you will attract in more masters to observe and ponder. What you think about is what you create and like attracts like. What a wonderful, simple way to live in the presence of masters always.

Proof: Masters will use their own sacred heart’s perception (and maybe even this channeled work?) to affirm the mastery of those around them rather than to prove that they have not yet awakened. Awake or asleep… what does it matter?! Love is the activator… the beginning and the end. Love is what awakens the sleeping master and love is what they know. For the realized master, paradox no longer hides the awesome truth… Love is truly All That Is.
