My name is Daniele DeVoe. That makes my Destiny number: 11/2

My birth-date is: February 24, 1950 which translates to a Life Path of: 23/5

My sun sign is Pisces, my ascendant is Virgo and my moon is in Gemini.

Auras have been part of my vision all of my life although I was probably 14 or 15 before I realized all the implications of that.

Early years:

Imagine what a privilege it was to be able to walk for miles ‘across hill and dale’ as a child with no fear or supervision. Our little and private corner of Connecticut offered that in the early 50’s. I have wonderful memories of having my Mom pack a lunch for me (I loved peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches!) and waving good-bye in the morning as I headed out to adventure. The words I still hear in that memory were, “Bye, Mom… I’m off to Paradise!” My journey took me across cow pastures, through woods and into the most beautiful field with a small meandering stream… Paradise. Looking back now it has to feel prophetic!

As must happen, much of that changed when I was 8 and entered 3^rd grade at a local private boarding/day school. That was the year I started my first healing group (which my 8 year old brain called the ‘Friendship Club’).  The club involved students from all grades and several teachers and had a short but somewhat successful run.

At 10 I discovered Edgar Cayce and the Association for Research and Enlightenment. That was the beginning of my conscious study of metaphysics… and I’ll always be grateful to my Dad for giving me a copy of There Is a River by Thomas Sugrue in an attempt to expand my literary tastes beyond Nancy Drew, Tom Swift and the Hardy Boys! It worked, Dad… thank you! After that, The Sleeping Profit, by Jess Stearn became my inspiration to study metaphysics and parapsychology, especially channeling, reincarnation and energy healing. I've been a member of the A.R.E. off and on since the age of 10. I became a Life Member 30 years ago and have supported and followed the work of the association throughout. When I first began this path, metaphysics was a taboo subject in most places. I'll always be thankful to the A.R.E. for providing insight and answers during those years and for leading the way in the spiritual lives of so many people!

At 14 I was off to an all girls New England boarding school with Ouija board and guitar… (And yes, I had been well taught to channel only Divine Beings with the Ouija board.) Boarding school was not a very fun experience for me but the education was excellent. During my second year there I found a book in the school library which changed a lot for me… it was The Search for Bridey Murphy, by Morey Bernstein. From that one slim volume my 16 year old enthusiasm found hypnosis and past life regression. On top of that, my roommate was a gifted subject.  As a result, we spent our sophomore through senior years delving deeply into 3 of her past lives… learning names, dates and addresses and confirming them all until we had close to 100% confirmation and I had my senior thesis.

Growing up fast:

After prep school I spent 1 year in college… having already experienced 4 years of boarding school, this was not a happy time either… so one year was  plenty! That year, I was also engaged… 2 years later, married… 2 children and 7 years later divorced and by the age of 28, a single parent with few known talents to market.

I was very lucky that there was a family business I could join and luckier still to discover a latent talent (from Atlantis I suspect) for computers. This led to a 15 year career in a small corporation for which I functioned as computer manager, bookkeeper, trainer and eventually President and Chief Financial Officer. (Handy for a Pisces to have a Virgo ascendant! My Pisces self is not very good at math… my Virgo self can do almost anything (math included) if there is a computer involved!)

During the 15 years of my corporate career life truly expanded. My two boys were constant inspiration and wonderful friends… even during the ‘terrible teens’. During this time I also met my spiritual partner, an amazing man with a brilliant mind, compassionate heart and immense desire for adventure. As an airline pilot, he was constantly traveling and always returning home with great stories… and somewhere in there he convinced me to learn to fly as well. So, in 1986 I became a pilot and actually bought my own airplane…

Through all these years both metaphysics and writing filled my free time. I took classes and developed my own channeling abilities but pretty much kept these talents quiet… the corporate world tends to frown upon psychic tendencies! Free time was filled with the classes of Lazaris and Jach Purcell. I also learned tarot from Craig Junjulas, who wrote Psychic Tarot and mediumship from the Arthur Ford Academy of Psychic Studies.

And then a few things changed dramatically…

My older son graduated from high school and, two days later, joined the Navy. I quit my corporate job and dedicated my path to metaphysics full time. My younger son and I moved from Connecticut to Upper Northwestern Lower Michigan. I began channeling, healing and teaching through a metaphysical bookstore called The Higher Self in Traverse City, Michigan.

Life changed immensely and joyfully!

Today it is 16 years later! I still offer channeled readings, Divine Grace Healing, Reiki, classes, Spiritual Life Coaching and more from my hometown and from the bookstore in Traverse City. My older son is now married to a wonderful woman (my first daughter!), a Major in the Air Force with two deployments to Iraq behind him, and a talent for art, web design and web management which you can see on this site!

My younger son has developed a talent for art and web design that is boggling. Many of his works will be illustrating these web pages… I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do. He’s a masterful cartoonist and his visionary art is equal to any I have seen.

Bodhisattva:

Several years ago two Lamas came to my town to offer inspiration, information and healing to several lucky individuals and to the Great Lakes. I was fortunate to be one of the people who received the blessing of a private session with the two holy men. At that meeting, Lama Rinpoche informed me that, as a Bodhisattva, I had much work to do. I have always felt that my life and spiritual path are dedicated to helping people remember the divine being that they are. Lama Rinpoche and his son, Lama Karma, helped me rededicate that mission and also helped me to understand the meaning of it more deeply. I’ll always be grateful to them both.

Past lives:

I have many past life memories. The days of the Ancients are unfolding memories now. Lemuria, Atlantis, Ancient Egypt, Greece, the mountains of Europe, the French Revolution, World War II… and many more that are not ready for sharing. Are these truly past lives? Or are they perhaps ongoing parallel realities that I’ve learned to access? Does the difference matter?
