Have you ever used a tarot
deck for fun or for insight? There are LOTS of books
to refer to for information and how-to's... I won't
begin to reproduce an entire book's worth of
information here, but I will attempt to give you
enough information to give you a good start!
Begin by buying a deck...
seems simple doesn't it? Your job is to make sure
that the deck is attractive and comfortable to you.
If you find it confusing, ugly, dull or negative...
that's not a good deck for you. If it is beautiful
and simply makes you want to enjoy all the art
within, that's a good deck! And for a starter deck
it should be fairly simple... not too
impressionistic... so it complies with traditional
tarot techniques.
Once you have bought your
deck, get to know it... Look at all the pictures...
read the book that came with it. Handle it so that
your energy is on the cards. And always treat your
deck (as you would with all your possessions) with
respect.
