Book review: Healing With Hands: Miracles, Inspiration and Science, by Sharon Baker, R.N., Reiki Master I read this book a few years ago and have been recommending it to all my Reiki students ever since. Why? Not because it is one more 'how to' manual... I recommend it because it gives you a chance to feel the potential of energy healing... Reiki especially. If you are a Reiki Practitioner and are losing your focus and inspiration, this book will help you rekindle both. And not because this is a 'how to' manual... it is a wonderful presentation of real life experiences with Reiki. Are you hungry to hear (read) stories which help you understand the potential of this wonderful energy healing modality? Do anecdotes help you learn... and enjoy... while you learn? Then this will be a good book for you! I've heard that the book is now in its second printing and also has 80 new pages with this latest edition. I highly recommend Healing With Hands: Miracles, Inspiration and Science whether you are new to Reiki or a seasoned practitioner. I give it \\\\\ (Five OM's!). Day of the Dolphin (Rating: I, TP, WO, HE, GML) 1973 - George C. Scott, Trish Van Devere, Paul
Sorvino, Fritz Weaver; This is the story of a marine biologist who teaches two dolphins to speak simple English. The movie develops the relationship between the man and Fa and Bee beautifully, creating quite a thought provoking premise. Please remember that this is a drama so, of course, the bad guys must come and cause trouble and attempt to misuse these beautiful creatures... that's Hollywood after all. But the movie is GOOD and inspirational... Well worth watching the next time it's on The Movie Channel or from your favorite DVD supplier. Last month I wrote about Citrine and mentioned that it is one of only two crystals which never need cleansing. It only seems fair to write about the other one this month...
Kyanite is a beautiful stone, somewhat fragile and most often blue (although you can find indigo, green, black, white, pink, yellow and gray). One of its main talents is that it balances your Chakras... ALL your Chakras... the same moment that you touch it. Exquisite! It also helps you to create or repair the connections with your own Inner Being and Nature, helps with past-life recall and improves your telepathy.
According to Naisha Ahsian in The Book of Stones, "Kyanite is a stone of connection, of building bridges of Light between disparate aspects of experience."
Working with this gentle stone can require patience since its process can be quite subtle. I have found, however, that in these changing times, Kyanite is VERY helpful and even a little less subtle.
